Materials: 12 x 12 plane: 12 skewers: 4x6 cards ( Bristol)

This image is my first attempt to imply unity between two objects.

My first thoughts: Where do I start?

I have to honest this was hard for me to start

this project. I wasn't sure what this project looked like or what it was suppose to look like. I really had to sit down and brain storm. I had so many ideas, so

started with the idea that seem to be the most interesting one: Origami.

The different folds in the cards gave me ideas of how to position the skewers. While I was folding the cards, I realized how much the fold began to look like petals, that's where my second thought of creating a orchid evolved.

The second image shows how I interrupted this idea and created this unity among the two materials.
